For my Typography 2 course, students were tasked with creating a zine on a topic of their choice. I chose to focus on fashion, specifically the history of denim, while exploring various typefaces, text positioning, color schemes, and overall image and layout design.

I began by placing the images first, then experimented with text positioning to create a cohesive layout. I created a collage-inspired aesthetic, using bold pops of color and layered imagery. I used a hand-written and cut-out-from-a-magazine style for the headline typography and paired it with Futura for the body text.
